Anger

Anger

Jun 12

Well, the subject has nothing to do with me, cos i'm not angry.

Just a simple story of the day. I had just picked up my repaired macbook from school, then to where I parked my bike. So the bike parking place is separated from the street level by a 3-4 person wide walkway. I took out my bike, I cycled slowly to the street level and I met this guy wearing graduation cloak, and other two ladies with him. I cycled really slowly, which is equivalent to me walking with it, I figured cycling with it takes less place, right?

Then the lady just didn't want to move aside, so I decided to stop and let her pass by. I mean it's a 3-4 person walkway, things will be easier for her to just move aside, and for me to go to the street level to cycle home. BUT NOO... she just thought that's her walkway and didn't wanna move aside and best thing she did is to scream at my ear while passing by me. Lecturing me about how bikes should be on the street level. I didn't bother explaining that I just took out my bike to go to the street level. Why bother?

It's exactly this kind of attitude that made the world a worse place to live in (not surprising though). I mean if one would just move aside, everything will be fine. I for one will not compromise who I am by what she did just now. Not letting her ruin my day or changing me into another monster-like angry being just because she screamed at me, unreasonably.

I'm gonna go through my day with a smile. Because I gained the trust of my music TA (who doubted me about plagiarizing *Sob-sob* but in the end gave me 98% on my final essay, my macbook screen is done and of course I'm going home soon. Why should my day be miserable because of that one, unimportant lady? Hehe.

I've learnt to control my anger and not let anger controls me. I think it's a real powerful technique :D

Random, Really Random

Random, Really Random

I found a really random quote by ex US President Harry S. Truman while trying to read up on the reactor design chapter in Fogler's Elements of Chemical Reaction Engineering. Random random random.

Here goes:

Anyway I submitted the homework on "Why I want to be a chemical engineer", partly bluffed my way to make up 2 pages (I'm actually honest in the first few paragraphs) and there's now a new essay due with the question which I don't have to lie to finish it. *A heavy sigh of relief*

On the other hand, I love my music class. I am mapping it to NUS GEM (Arts). It's called Introduction to Music Literature and it is supposedly for those not taking Music as their major. We went through the middle ages and renaissance last week and this week the timeline is on Baroque with Bach and Handel as the focus. I can't wait for next week's Classical Period and explore the richness of all these high quality music. Thank God for them.

Hohoho!

no, not Santa, but exams are here. Just had one today, didn't really feel like an exam though.

We had a partial power blackout in certain part of the main house and my housemate's room. No internet too. Life without internet is hard! LOL

What else is here? iPhone OS 3.0! Oh well, not really here here as it's due to be released over the summer, but it's total awesomeness, really really really and I can say really till tomorrow but it's better to just check my post here to confirm for yourself http://www.macgeek.co.cc/2009/03/iphone-os-30-whats-groundbreaking-whats-new/

While on "stress-mode" I baked brownies yesterday night, mixed homogeneously till my arm hurted but the outcome was so TOTALLY worth it. I should make brownies for others when I'm back in Singapore. Did I mention that I made a very good beef rawon too? though I get very stingy about the beef portion since it's expensive, but the soup alone is nice! (plus soy sauce, of course)

Oh, I slept only for 2 hours last night but I felt fresh! Haha :D

The legendary sakit kepalaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa is back.

After a strenuous week starting last Thursday daily until today *Sunday included*, after much alcohol (not the drink, but too much inhaling of the chemical tert-butyl alcohol), old-man-glasses/swimming goggles in the lab, a slice of bread and sausage lunch and skipping of lots and lots of classes.....

I declare freedom from Bainer!! Oh well, at least for the long weekend....

Badum dum dadum.. dum dadum dumdum dumdum...
