Why I Ugh Facebook
Apr 19What's up with Facebook?
Taking up a great deal of young people's time in their lives when these lost time can be used for more useful and meaningful things.
People protesting on the streets of Paris against the new design of facebook.
What's up with young people nowadays? Don't they have anything better to do?
Yeah, I'm old already.
Urm.. LippoBank?
Apr 19
If Lippo Bank is founded in the 2000s, one suggestion of the logo will be:

Of course it is web 2.0 compliant with its reflections, wet-floor effect, gradient, strokes and no separation between letters... nothing new
Er. I think I should stick to restaurants/canteen
I wanted to make it look like youtube but realized there's this blue colour that i can't omit. I'm sure they have history/stories on why the blue colour is there besides ren and white which is basically Indonesia (or Singapura/Poland/Monaco
).
Anyway, it's 7.30 AM on Sunday and I haven't slept at all.
Redesigning Indo Padang Restaurant
Apr 19I remember the NUANSA'08 days where at times the publicity personnels (like me) are required to include the logos of our sponsors on any publicity material. And the one that irritates me the most is Indo Padang Restaurant's logo. Not that it's ugly. It's just not 'logo' enough. The wordings are too small, and takes up a lot of space. Ah... now I feel bad for them. I heard it's the owner is a Medanese lady and her Singaporean husband. Since I'm from Medan and Medanese are weird. I'm gonna redesign it
Originally:

After redesigned:

The concept is just emphasizing on the rooftop of the Rumah Gadang in Padang *hey, it rhymes!* and of course web 2.0-ing it with gradients, half-rounded-half-pointed corners and of course rounded fonts as well!
Lalalala...
redesigning…
Apr 19Nowadays, famous websites have attractive logos. Agreed? And the good ones are mostly web 2.0 based. Lately I've really fallen in love with these web 2.0 logos that I decided to learn to make better such logos. The journey is still long, probably when I can achieve the good ones, web 2.0 may already be out-of-date. But I always believe that whatever I learn will not be in vain
Everytime I passed by anything with a logo on it, my mind automatically criticizes/praises it. Sometimes it's bad when it becomes uncontrolled
So, today I passed by the canteen in residence where I normally purchase my lunches and dinners and looked at their logo. The canteen's called Foodgle, by the way.
So originally:

After web 2.0ing for around 15 minutes we get:

A speckle feeling of dissatisfaction gives another similar, but different (what?) logo:

Thanks for tuning in!
