The Web I Visit 10 Years Ago
Sep 02With the upcoming HTML 5, CSS 3.0 and the already so wide-spread Web 2.0 looking sites, I look back to those websites that I often visit 10 years ago. And just wonder how time and technology has gradually upped our design taste buds that the moment we look at these sites: a total turn-off!
Altavista (one of my fave search engines, 10 years ago!)

Seems like after all, Apple has the edge all along
Minimalist at heart!
Ah, thus the change of this wordpress theme as well, towards minimalism, not blind minimalism but a meaningful one!
GMail, Facebook and Apple
May 21The three of the most discussed "brand" on tech blogs. Besides Twitter, that is.
Well what's new? GMail is getting more and more far ahead its 'lousy' competitors Ya-boo-hoo and really-not-Hotmail. GMail is totally pwning the rest. Now GMail labs comes with 'Inbox Preview' while your GMail is loading.

While Gmail is loading, a simple, static preview of your inbox with your ten most recent messages is displayed. Turn it on from the Labs tab under Settings, and if you're on a slow connection you'll know from the start if it's worth the wait.

Next up, Facebook. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM. So many people using facebook, many more scams coming out to steal your passwords and spread the fire, steal others' passwords. Moral of the story, never input your passwords anywhere except the url with facebook domain! OR DON'T SPEND TOO MUCH TIME WITH YOUR DEAR FACEBOOK!
Sites like FBAction.net, FBStarter.com, nutpic.at, bests.at, areps.at, kirgo.at, simply asks for you to input your Facebook username and password, with a design that looks similar to that of Facebook.
Don’t give this site your information. If you do, it will proceed to send all of your friends a message telling them to go to there, and hence, the scam will continue to spread like wildfire. Just like what happened on MSN.
Lastly, Apple. This is exciting! Techcruch reports that More evidence of the Apple Tablet surfaced today. Woohoo. Another addition to the mac family?
Read about it here: http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/05/21/what-we-know-about-the-apple-tablet-so-far
That's it for the tech update!

Apr 03Happy 3rd 5th Birthday to GMail !

I really have no clue why some people are still using yahoo and hotmail. I seriously can't stand those clunky webmail anymore. Oh well, people can stick to their own choices, but mine is better!
