Words and Sung by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová
I don't know you
But I want you
All the more for that
Words fall through me
And always fool me
And I can't react
And games that never amount
To more than they're meant
Will play themselves outTake this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice
You'll make it nowFalling slowly, eyes that know me
And I can't go back
Moods that take me and erase me
And I'm painted black
You have suffered enough
And warred with yourself
It's time that you wonTake this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you had a choice
You've made it now
Falling slowly sing your melody
I'll sing along
Kris Allen sang this song during this week's American Idol season 8. I really loved it. I really do.
So Small
Mar 18As performed by Matt Giraud on American Idol Season 8 Top 11:
What you got if you ain't got love
The kind that you just want to give away
It's okay to open up
Go ahead and let the light shine through
I know it's hard on a rainy day
You wanna shut the world out and just be left alone
But don't run out on your faith
Cause sometimes that mountain you've been climbing
Is just a grain of sand
And what you've been out there searching for forever
Is in your hands
And when you figure out love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else seem
So small
It's so easy to get lost inside
A problem that seems so big at the time
It's like a river that's so wide it swallows you whole
While you're sitting around thinking about what you can't change
And worrying about all the wrong things
Time's flying by, moving so fast
You better make it count cause you can't get it back
Who’s Norman Gentle?
Feb 11He's the alter-ego of one of this season American Idol 09. He's a joker. He's the kinda guy that you laugh at in reality shows but didn't get through. Yea, but now he's that same kind who got through cos he really really can sing. And he's super entertaining!
This is short clip is from last night's performance. LOL!

David Archuleta Sings I’m Yours. Funny!
Feb 10I can't believe I'm revisiting this last season American Idol runner-up again. This time it's funny.
So, David Archuleta was with Radio Wild 95.5 and they were playing this game where he had to put on the headphone with high volume noises that he wouldn't be able to hear himself and at the same time sing Jason Mraz's I'm Yours.
And after this scene, he freaked out and threw his headphone away when he heard himself sing. Not only that since the sound came from loudspeaker and throwing away headphone didn't help, he tried "blablablablabla" to not hear his own singing. (I personally think it's not that bad
)
One of those days..
Oct 13Today is one of those days that... you felt so weak, but you just have to face the reality, and go on with life.
Who doesn't want to live comfortably? Who doesn't want to just be happy, cheerful, jumping here and there? But life is just not about that. And I'm thankful that life is not all about that. No matter how easy and comfortable that kinda life is, I don't think such life is worth living
Today, as I'm doing my work, I listened to Queen's Somebody to Love. No particular reason tho, just felt like listening after listening to Bohemian Rhapsody which I randomly like to sing
Listening to Somebody to Love, subsequently reminded me of Elliot Yamin, one of the American Idol contestants who was struggling with a lot of disease throughout his life, including diabetes and something wrong with his ear even during his American Idol time.
As usual, before he sings and the judges give comments, AI will show a short clip of his background or interview with someone close to him. For that episode, it was his mom. It was very touching to see how humble this man is. And you can see why through his mom herself. She was also very humble, even while talking about her own son. One of her comment which struck me is about how proud she was of his son.
"I'm so proud of him, so proud of him. But I.. I have to impress on you, not about his talent, cause the talent is given but he's such a good soul"
Recently on the last American Idol season, he came back to perform Free on a result show. That day, he told the audience that it's the first he performs on the stage and his mom was not there cheering, because she had just passed away a few days ago. Very touching...
How funny that this post is suppose to be about me and my gloomy day, but I ended up writing about Elliot Yamin. I guess I have a lot to learn from him.
