Get Up and Do Something!
Jun 02I love watching certain Reality TV Shows, just like American Idol and recently, last year I started watching So You Think You Can Dance.
I love watching people dance, both contemporary, ballroom, hip-hop, tap, well basically almost all kinds. It's amazing how the body portrays arts and its aesthetics, even in the smallest, subtlest way.
So, after one season of American Idol is over, I started watching SYTYCD, the 6th season. I am aware that sometimes the producer loves to play with the audiences' emotions by showing sad, tragic stories, and gain sympathy from us. Well, even knowing that, I still cry A LOT while watching the shows. Not to mention the fact that I'm watching alone in my room, more freedom to cry. LOL.
This season, we have a true inspiration from a girl my age named Tiffany.
She was born with severe spinal problems which have stunted her growth and coordination, only has three vertebrae in her spine instead of the normal seven. The doctors thought she would die as a baby, but she survived till now, 23 years of age.
The executive producer, Nigel, said that her bravery is stunning and think that people at home who sit on their butts and think they can’t do something should be inspired by her.

Words and Sung by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová
I don't know you
But I want you
All the more for that
Words fall through me
And always fool me
And I can't react
And games that never amount
To more than they're meant
Will play themselves outTake this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice
You'll make it nowFalling slowly, eyes that know me
And I can't go back
Moods that take me and erase me
And I'm painted black
You have suffered enough
And warred with yourself
It's time that you wonTake this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you had a choice
You've made it now
Falling slowly sing your melody
I'll sing along
Kris Allen sang this song during this week's American Idol season 8. I really loved it. I really do.
Ain’t No Sunshine
Apr 02Kris Allen from American Idol Season 8 singing Ain't No Sunshine. I absolutely love his version. His voice is so my type, and not to mention, his... looks... which is definitely a plus. Haha.
Ain't no sunshine when she's gone.
It's not warm when she's away.
Ain't no sunshine when she's gone
and she's always gone too long
anytime she goes away.
Wonder this time where she's gone,
wonder if she's gone to stay
Ain't no sunshine when she's gone
and this house just ain't no home
anytime she goes away.
So Small
Mar 18As performed by Matt Giraud on American Idol Season 8 Top 11:
What you got if you ain't got love
The kind that you just want to give away
It's okay to open up
Go ahead and let the light shine through
I know it's hard on a rainy day
You wanna shut the world out and just be left alone
But don't run out on your faith
Cause sometimes that mountain you've been climbing
Is just a grain of sand
And what you've been out there searching for forever
Is in your hands
And when you figure out love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else seem
So small
It's so easy to get lost inside
A problem that seems so big at the time
It's like a river that's so wide it swallows you whole
While you're sitting around thinking about what you can't change
And worrying about all the wrong things
Time's flying by, moving so fast
You better make it count cause you can't get it back
