Easter and Aaahh

What has it been reduced to?

It is sad and disappointing to know that people nowadays do not appreciate or even have the decency to respect the meaning of Good Friday and Easter. No one really cares about Good Friday.,and they care a little bit about Easter because just like Halloween, it's a National thing in the US. Easter Egg Hunt and the Bunny costume. People don't even remember what the eggs mean anymore. Don't even get me started on the bunny which is just like Santa Claus on Christmas Day. And apparently easter egg hunt seems to be more interesting and important than the sermon on that day. Or maybe if Easter falls on Saturday, no one will really come to church.

This makes me miss Singapore so much, despite the hectic and pressing schedules and the principle of "doing nothing is crime".

Life goes on, with all its ups and downs, joy and sadness, fun and difficulties, vigor and pain because that's the reality, each is part and parcel of the other. Sometimes it's depressing to go through so much joy at one time, just to be shattered by a whole day of screw-ups. Depressing to a point that I just want to give up trying, escape to somewhere where I 'think' I can have joy all the time. But what I've learnt through my many escapism acts in the past is that during 'escapism' period, one just felt an empty joy, or a sheer fake joy. So, why escape? Hehe. Maybe too many of those made you 'immune' to the drastic changes and just try to move on with a heart full of hopes.
